TERMS OF SERVICE &
PRIVACY POLICY
Please read these terms carefully before using RouteForge.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RouteForge at rf.waddleware.eu (the "Service"), creating an account, or purchasing tokens or a subscription, you ("User") agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not use the Service.
By checking the acceptance checkbox during registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and paying customers of the Service.
2. Description of Service
RouteForge is a web-based multi-modal journey planning application that allows users to:
- Plan multi-stop routes using various transport modes (airplane, helicopter, ship, ferry, car, bus, bicycle, train, walk);
- Visualise routes on interactive maps with various tile styles;
- Export animated route videos (MP4) and GIF files;
- Store and retrieve saved routes on our servers (registered users only);
- Purchase export tokens and subscriptions for premium features.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
RouteForge is operated as an independent hobby/commercial project by WaddleWare. It is not affiliated with any mapping provider, transport company, or third-party routing service referenced within the application.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
To access premium features, save routes, or purchase tokens, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated.
3.2 Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at help@waddleware.eu of any unauthorised use of your account.
3.3 Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the paid features of the Service, in compliance with EU GDPR requirements for digital consent. Users under 16 may use the Service only under parental or guardian supervision.
3.4 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time via the Account Dashboard. Upon deletion, your personal data, saved routes, and token balance will be permanently removed from our systems. Any unused tokens or subscription time remaining at the time of deletion are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
4. Tokens & Payments
4.1 Token System
RouteForge uses a token-based system for video and GIF exports. Tokens are a virtual in-app currency purchased via Stripe and used to unlock export operations. The current token costs for exports are:
| Export Type | Token Cost |
|---|---|
| GIF 480p / MP4 480p | 1 token |
| GIF 720p HD / MP4 720p HD | 2 tokens |
| GIF 1080p / MP4 1080p Full HD | 3 tokens |
| MP4 1440p QHD | 5 tokens |
4.2 Token Validity
Tokens do not have a fixed expiry date and remain valid indefinitely — for as long as the Service remains operational. WaddleWare does not guarantee the permanent availability of the Service. In the event that the Service is permanently shut down, unused tokens will not be refunded unless required by applicable EU consumer protection law.
Tokens are non-transferable between accounts and have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to other users.
4.3 Pricing
All prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT where required. Prices are subject to change at our discretion. Changes will not affect tokens already purchased.
4.4 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely via Stripe, a third-party payment processor. WaddleWare does not store any credit card or payment information on its servers. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy available at stripe.com/privacy.
4.5 Refund Policy
Token purchases are generally non-refundable once a transaction is completed, as tokens are a digital virtual currency that is consumed immediately upon use. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us within 14 days of the transaction at help@waddleware.eu. Refunds are granted at our sole discretion and may be required under applicable EU consumer law.
5. Subscriptions
5.1 Pro Subscriptions
RouteForge offers monthly and annual Pro subscriptions. Pro subscriptions include a monthly allowance of 25 exports per billing period, plus access to all premium features. Unused monthly exports do not roll over to the following billing period.
5.2 Billing & Renewal
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Stripe customer portal or by contacting us.
5.3 Cancellation
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Pro features until the period ends. No partial refunds are issued for the remaining subscription period, except where required by EU law.
6. Exports & Content
6.1 Your Content
Route data and waypoints you enter into RouteForge remain your property. We do not claim ownership of your route data. By using the Service, you grant WaddleWare a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your route data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
6.2 Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation;
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others;
